Class Teacher: Miss Hammond
Teaching Assistants: Mrs North and Mrs Holland
In Reception we have been busy. We have made lots of new friends and having a great time exploring our provision areas.
We have been learning about ‘Autumn’ and have found that the leaves are changing colour and are falling off the trees. We have been collecting leaves and conkers and used them to print and create Leaf Men. We will be going on an Autumn Walk around school to talk about the changes we can see.
Next, we will be learning about Harvest, making bread and singing lots of harvest songs.
We have been working hard in phonics to learn our new sounds and are starting to read and write CVC words. In maths we are learning lots about number and collecting lots of objects to make different amounts.
We have taken part in adult-led activities such as PE and Forest Schools. We have loved our Forest Schools sessions so far. We even found a hedgehog!
We promote positive friendships and teach children the importance of working together as a team.
